Meet W. L. O'Fallon

W. L. O’Fallon is the writing identity of Jessika Darkstar, a television creator, screenwriter, writer-producer, and story architect developing original speculative fiction and interconnected storyworlds.

For more than two decades, I have built characters, mythology, cultures, languages, and worlds designed to hold more than one story.

What began with prose and worldbuilding gradually became something larger.

I realized I did not only want to write stories.

I wanted to help lead what happened to them next.

Today, my primary focus is television development: creating original series, developing characters and episode architecture, building story bibles, and thinking about how a creative vision survives the journey from page to production.

My background in writing, worldbuilding, animation and visual effects, production management, broadcasting, transmedia storytelling, creative direction, and technology shapes the way I approach that work.

I build stories with the production already somewhere in the back of my mind.

My Purpose

To create original television worlds where strong characters, mythology, and story architecture give writers and creative teams something worth building together.

Create series bibles, episode architecture, continuity, mythology, and creative foundations that help an entire team understand the same world.

Lead Creatively

Build clear creative direction while leaving room for writers, artists, performers, and production teams to contribute their own ideas and make the work stronger.

Long-Form Vision

When I bring all of those pieces together, I am working toward becoming a showrunner and executive producer who can lead an original television property from its earliest idea through development and production.

I want to build writers’ rooms where people understand the world, know what is expected of them, and still have the freedom to create.

I want to make complicated characters, strange mythology, enormous worlds, and stories with something underneath them.

And I want enough structure behind the curtain that the people making those stories are not fighting the production just to tell them.

The conlangs, prose, mythology, worldbuilding, screenplays, experiments, and earlier projects throughout this portfolio are not separate from that direction.

They are how I learned to build worlds.

Now I am learning how to lead the teams that bring them to life.
